Our Earth

Our Earth
Earth. Our home. It’s a very nice place once you take a good look at it. Water, sunlight, food, oxygen, Earth has it all. Yet it’s the only one we have right now, and everyone who lives on it should come to the realization that we should make an effort to keep our home clean, and livable.
For example, recycling, using solar energy for homes, cleaning out the trash in oceans, rivers, etc. Not flushing as much, or taking shorter showers to save water.
Many people do do these things, but it would be so much more awesome if everyone could. Now I know that it may not be possible for everyone to do these things, but for those who can, they should do it. They should help as much as they can, because who knows? Maybe our Earth is coming close to it’s end.
Depending on what you may or may not believe, Earth will eventually end, through global climate change, us not conserving as much as we should, or the Apocalypse, the Second Coming, whatever it may be, for good or bad, Earth will end, but for right now we as mankind can do things to help it to make living for all of us better.
For those already doing it, making the world a better place to live in, a healthier place to live in, thank you, you unsung heroes.
Even you, reading right now could help, just by turning the light off in a room when you leave, (if no one is in it, of course) flushing only when it’s absolutely necessary, or even just opening a window instead of turning on the AC.
So many things that you could do. A bunch of little things can make a big impact, sort of like gears in a clock. They’re all little things, but make a bigger thing happen, i.e move the hands on the clock.
We could all do that, and not even just for the Earth, but for other people as well.
(I apologize that this blog is so short)

Notice: A chapter-by-chapter series for a full book may begin next week or in two weeks, so stay tuned!

Not All Heroes Wear A Cape

Not All Heroes Wear Capes
There are the hashtags “notallheroeswearcapes” and “notallheroeswearacape” that you may or may not have heard of or seen. While sometimes this hashtag is used for things not quite relating to it, it rings some truth. Not all heroes wear a cape or capes, meaning not all heroes set out to be heroes, or is someone you might not expect to be a hero.
There are over 7 billion people on Earth as of right now, and several of those people do what they need to get by, but many of those people do what they need to help others, whether it’d be because of their job, or their personality, or morals, these people are the unsung heroes. The ones that don’t wear capes, and to be honest, don’t need to, yet it’d be great if they could be recognised more often.
I’m talking about the doctors, nurses, therapists, firefighters, blood donors, organ donors, teachers, garbage disposal workers, charity donors, missionaries, clothes makers, police, and so many more, that do things people as a whole may not think about often.
Even though it may just be their job, or something they feel obliged to do, we can still acknowledge their work, what they do for the greater good.
Even if it was just a one time thing, they still contributed to making the world a better place, for all people, or for one person, or a group of people.
Everyone could be a hero at some point in their lives, if everyone just took time out of their own lives to help others, it would allow an experience of self-accomplishment and kindness. Something to take with them for the rest of their lives.
Yet, for those who are already heroes, or have done a heroic deed, they already have that experience, or have that experience many times. So many more people could feel that, and so many people may want to do great things, helpful things, kind things, whatever it is, but sometimes, there are obstacles in the way.
Such as age, finances, influential friends or family, etc.
Even if some people can’t be the heroes they want to be, just thinking about it is good, even if a person feels as if they’re doing nothing.
But, back to the people who are already heroes, they should be thanked for all they do, for what they may or may not sacrifice for people (or animals) other than themselves.
For example, Christ Jesus is a great person/ hero for dying, probably painfully, on a wooden cross for all of mankind's sins, if you do indeed believe in Him.
Now, I’m not sure if anyone today would die for all mankind, but to be a hero, you don’t necessarily have to sacrifice your life, just your time.

We Can All be heroes
There Are Heroes Out There
Maybe You Can be A hero

War

War
War is when two or more countries, two or more people, or just a single person (battling oneself) are fighting over some dispute, or many disputes.
War is not a fun thing, often resulting in pain, even death.
Currently, the world is teetering on the edge of WW3, but there has also been a war involving ISIS in the Middle East for a few years now. Many have lost their lives, and it doesn’t matter what side a person was on, death is unfortunate, but depending on beliefs, fortunate.
There are many people who advocate for peace on Earth, and I salute them, but war is inevitable. There are too many people in the world with different views, ideas, and beliefs for us all to just get along, which is why people with similar beliefs and views tend to stick with their own, but for those few in the world who can see past beliefs and opinions, good on ya’.
The world is kind of like a salad, in a sense. (Thank you 8th grade history teacher) Everything is it’s own thing, but mixed in with other things, yet living together if that makes sense, and some things get along, while others don’t. (But chef salad is great, if you haven’t tried it you should, unless you're on an all meat diet)
Some people get along, and some don’t, which is why wars between countries, and even people occur, most of the time, I believe.
It’s all fun and games until someone gets hurt.
Wars between people are a bit more dangerous, in my opinion. While countries as a whole could recover fairly easily with the right resources and tools, a person could take a bit more to recover from hurt feelings and broken hearts. Ice cream and wine help, but aren’t a solution, I’m afraid. Yet, love relationships aren’t the only thing that can cause war between people.
There can be miscommunications, friends getting into a fight, simple strangers just having a bad exchange, eventually evolving into an even bigger problem.
War between people often end up in a big mess until it’s hopefully resolved.
War with oneself is very saddening and possibly causes the absolute most destruction, because no one knows a person better than themselves. Oneself knows their weaknesses, their innermost faults, mistakes, that they can use as weapons against themselves. To hurt themselves. To allow all the doubts to knock down the barrier protecting a person.
Usually when a person is at war with themselves, they’re fighting themselves against certain thoughts in their head, for example, suicide.
War, no matter who’s fighting it or why, it’s not very fun
